I Believe...
That our background and circumstances
May have influenced who we are, but,
We are responsible for who we become.

First we’d like to say that we have truly enjoyed putting together this website and being able to share our history; as well as many personal memories from each of you about “Jackson-Feild.” Our website was originally geared to raise awareness of our annual “Homecoming”; as well as to reconnect and catch-up with the latest, reminisce and share memories, and just take pride and pleasure in our history with our sisters from days gone by. It is truly amazing the amount of information available in cyberspace..."a world of increasingly universal connectivity" that helps us in our research of both information and our alumnae.

It has been while discussing and researching Jackson-Feild that we’ve discovered that many times it's not what you say, but how you say it, that turns the switch from "off" to "on". With that said, we are dedicating this page not only to bring attention to our original goal but it is our sincere hope that this website will be a positive and sensible means to assist you spiritually to empower yourself.

It is important to remember that "Children are not responsible for the choices of their parents, who their parents are, or their mom and/or dad's financial situation."

Every so often there are questions you must answer in order to find your true purpose in life and on occasion, they may surface during major life transitions such as family strife, job loss, spiritual awakenings, or even the death of a loved one.

So remember, every person is a unique being. There is only one of you in the universe. You have many obvious talents and abilities waiting to be discovered. I don't know what your destiny will be; but one thing I do know is that those who have sought and found it are happier people.

Success is a very personal thing, but I think most people would agree that true success is about being fulfilled in life. It's that feeling of deep satisfaction that starts in your soul and radiates through your being. The end result is true happiness and peace of mind.

People come into your life for a REASON, a SEASON or a LIFETIME.

When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.

They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support,

To aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.

They may seem like a godsend and they are.

They are there for the reason you need them to be.

Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time,

This person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.

Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.

Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.

What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done.

The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Our lives are not determined by what happens to us but how we react to what happens, not by what life brings to us, but by the attitude, we bring to life. A positive attitude causes a chain reaction to positive thoughts, events, and outcomes. It is a catalyst, a spark that creates extraordinary results. Anonymous

A Creed To Live By
Nancye Sims

Don't undermine your worth by comparing yourself with others.

It is because we are different that each of us are special. Don't set your goals by what other people deem important. Only do what is best for you.

Don't take for granted the things closest to your heart. Cling to them as you would your life, for without them life is meaningless.

Don't let life slip through your fingers by living in the past or in the future. By living one day at a time you live all days of your life.

Don't give up when you still have something to give. Nothing is really over until the moment you stop trying.

Don't be afraid to admit that you are less than perfect. It is the fragile thread that binds us to each other.

Don't be afraid to encounter risks. It is by taking chances that we learn how to be brave.

Don't shut love out of your life by saying it is impossible. The fastest way to lose love is to hold to it tightly, and the best way to keep love is to give it wings.

Don't dismiss your dreams. To be without dreams is to be without hope, to be without hope is to be without purpose.

The past should be left in the past...

Otherwise it can destroy your future.

Live life for what tomorrow has to offer...

Not for what yesterday has taken away!

One Flaw in Women
Author Unknown

Women have strengths that amaze men…

They bear hardships and they carry burdens,

but they hold happiness, love and joy.

They smile when they want to scream.

They sing when they want to cry.

They cry when they are happy

and laugh when they are nervous.

They fight for what they believe in…

 They stand up to injustice.

They don't take "no" for an answer

when they believe there is a better solution.

They go without so their family can have.

They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.

 They love unconditionally.

They cry when their children excel

and cheer when their friends get awards.

They are happy when they hear about

 a birth or a wedding.

Their hearts break when a friend dies.

They grieve at the loss of a family member,

yet they are strong when they

think there is no strength left.

They know that a hug and a kiss

 can heal a broken heart.

Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.

They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you

to show how much they care about you.

The heart of a woman is what

 makes the world keep turning.

They bring joy, hope and love.

 They have compassion and ideas.

They give moral support to their

 family and friends.

Women have vital things to say

 and everything to give.

HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN,

IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.

The Beauty of a Woman

The beauty of a woman
must be seen from in her eyes;
Because that's the doorway to her heart,
the place where love resides.

The beauty of a woman
isn't in a facial mole;
But true beauty in a woman,
is reflected by her soul.

It's the caring that she cares to give,
the passion that she shows;
And the beauty of a woman
with passing years only grows.
