Welcome to this special place, created by Jackson-Feild alumnae for Jackson-Feild alumnae.

The mission of this website is to assist with the preservation of our legacy and to promote the ideals of Jackson-Feild as established by its founders and to strengthen the alumnae network.

We hope you will use it to share memories, reconnect with sisters, and find some of the joy and spirit you felt as a young girl growing up there.

Our annual "Homecoming" is a place for conversation, laughter and comradery. You can read about other alumnae and share your special stories and memories here, both from Jackson-Feild and your current lives.

Jackson-Feild helped make us the terrific women that we are. Let’s get to know each other again!

"Life is not the way it's supposed to be...It's the way it is...
The way we cope with it, is what makes the difference.

Jackson-Feild Episcopal Home

(now officially changed to "Jackson-Feild Homes")

stands alone in Virginia as the oldest and largest

residential home exclusively serving adolescent girls.

************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

This was written for the booklet that was put together as a tribute for Ms. Gage from the girls of the 1940's through the mid-1960's.

I hope each of you will read this and carry on the "Home" tradition that Ms. Gage would have wanted you to do.

From this Home have gone many girls to make their way in the world. These girls have given a good account of themselves and have been a credit to the Home. Most of them have maintained contact with it and have shown their feeling for it through repeated visits and letters. Our girls can be found in almost every walk of life - secretaries, nurses, beauticians, lab technicians, teachers, social workers, and various other professions and vocations, but sooner or later they have become housewives. Many of them living in the community and serving the Church and taking on active interest in the girls who are members of the "Home Family"

Friends Are Like Balloons...

Once you let them go, you mght not get them back.

Sometimes we get so busy with our own lives and problems that we may not even notice that we've let them fly away.

Sometimes we just don't realize what real friendship means until it is too late!
